New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni, considered as one of the best skippers of all time, has announced his retirement from international cricket. ‘Captain Cool’, who last played for India at the 2019 World Cup, took to social media to inform fans about his decision.

Several Bollywood celebs including Kartik Aaryan, Randeeop Hooda and Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter to express their respect for MS Dhoni. Riteish Deshmukh, last seen in 'Baaghi 3', shared a picture of the former Indian skipper. He wrote, "No retirement from our hearts."



Nation's heartthrob Kartik Aaryan shared a picture of Mahi can be seen doing a full stretch to avoid getting stumped by Kiwi's wicket-keeper in a T-20 match against New Zealand.

The 'Bhool Bhulaiyya 2' actor wrote on the micro-blogging site, "Greatest Ever !!" and asked if he could do anything to make Dhoni change his mind.



Taapsee Pannu wrote, "a chapter ends in Indian cricket."

Randeep Hooda,who will be next seen in 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', wrote,"Nooooo !!!  You’ve always known the best ..  Thanks for the entertainment."



Anupam Kher, who played late Sushant Singh Rajput's on-screen father in 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', said that the master finisher will continue to rule hearts even after his retirement.



"Heart broken. End of an era!! Thank you for making us proud... For making us confident... For finishing it off with a swagger only you have!! I only wish you could have gone on forever on the field! All the best my friend," Rohit Roy tweeted.



Sophie Choudhry tweeted, "An exceptional player, an exemplary leader, an absolute class act on and off the field..A true legend!! Thank you for everything you have done for Indian cricket MS.. Wish you nothing but the best always."



Sidharth Malhotra wrote, "A big thank you to both of you for your contribution to cricket, I am and will always be a fan. Huge respect @msdhoni sir & @ImRaina sir!"



MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket by sharing video on Instagram. He wrote, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”
