Two wrongs can never make a right! But what you are left with an option to chose between wrong & very wrong?

Well that's exactly what MOM Sridevi in the movie deals in with help from a private detective Daya Shankar Kapoor (Nawazuddin Siddiqui)

The movie starts with Devaki (Sridevi) walking into a class room as a teacher where her step-daughter Arya(Sajal Aly) studies.

Pakistani actress Sajal Aly plays the role of Sridevi's onscreen daughter Arya

Sridevi plays a biology teacher in the movie who exactly knows how to deal with her teenage students, the way she explains types of human muscles in the body to her students with a shirtless pic of Salman Khan proves that.

Next what happens shows her strict nature at the same time when a brat in her class sends a porn clip to her daughter Arya and she confiscates the phone.

The relationship between Devaki and Arya is sour & strained. Arya still hasn't accepted Devaki has her mother and still calls her ma'am and not mom! Next happens is a Valentine's night college party for Arya, which is happening at a farm house far away from home.

At the party, a mishap and fight with some boys from her school leads to abduction and gang-rape.

The scenes will truly give you goose bumps and are totally heart wrenching.

A black car speeds its way through a deserted Delhi road on a pitch dark night. An aerial shot shows the car stopping at a lonely crossroad where  the driver swaps his seat with a person in the rear. The car starts moving again, and sometime before daybreak, they throw a teenage Arya into a roadside drain.

Akshaye Khanna impresses as a tough cop

The rape scene tells everything without being really shown anything onscreen except the moving car. We haven’t been shown the inside of the car, but we all know what could have happened there!

The scene will once again remind you the chilling Delhi gang rape that took place in 2012.

Moving on, Arya then gets admitted in a hospital in a critical condition. A fast-track court is set up to hear the case, the girl records her statement before the judge via video-conferencing and the parents are hopeful of a favourable verdict, but because of a medical report which claims Arya had 0.08 % alcohol in her body, her report became invalid. The 4 accused gets acquitted because of lack of evidence.

And then it's her mother who decides to avenge the rape of her daughter because the law couldn’t get her the justice she deserves!

Pak actor Adnan Siddiqui plays Sridevi's onscreen husband Anand

The second half has Devaki taking revenge one by one. She punishes three out of four with a full proof plan and this brings in a lot of change in her daughter Arya and she starts slowing come back into normal.

IN PICS: Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor goes on a MOVIE DATE with Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar and their photos are going VIRAL!

Nawaz as the private detective is incredible in the second half. Akshaye Khanna who plays a CBI inspector too fits the role

Sridevi totally owns the movie

The other supporting casts are also spectacular in the movie be it Pak actress Sajal Aly who plays Sridevi's onscreen daughter Arya, Adnan Siddiqui as Sridevi's husband Anand or the four rapists, Mom has some stellar performances.

And while the story is strong and gripping, it's not unique and nothing new yet it keeps you glued to your seats, thanks to the brilliant star cast. Director Ravi Udyawar scores full marks in his debut movie.

SEE PICS: Bollywood’s STYLISH MOM Sridevi goes on a DINNER DATE with her STUNNING daughters- Jhanvi & Khushi Kapoor!

A R Rahman's background score adds the required chills, Chal Kahin Door & Oh Sona songs are beautiful songs with beautiful Picturization.

High Points of the movie: Star cast- MOM has some brilliant supporting cast like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna and Adnan Siddiqui that truly makes it a hard-hitting movie. Dayashankar Kapoor aka DK (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) is the real charmer in MOM and simply steals our heart every time he comes onscreen. His look in the movie goes so well with the character and especially his one-liners leave us amused. Akshaye Khanna also makes his presence felt as a tough cop and we wish to see him more in movies.

Low points of the movie: MOM's story is its biggest loophole as you have seen it multiple times, in different ways and you won't find anything new in it.

Sridevi last seen in English Vinglish (2012) has undoubtedly made a stunning comeback with MOM and you should surely go for the revenge drama this weekend !
