Earlier, while fans were eagerly awaiting to see actors Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt come together in Aashiqui 3, producer Mahesh Bhatt had earlier said that the duo is far from officially signing the movie.
The director said to Mid-Day that, ""Since it is part of the 'Aashiqui' franchise, Alia is playing a singer."
The director is currently busy with his next film 'Half Girlfriend'featuring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and is yet to decide when 'Aashiqui 3' will go on floors.
