Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is happy with the response to his latest film "Dear Zindagi" and says he had to make sure he lived up to the expectations of the makers.
Gauri Shinde helmed "Dear Zindagi" had Alia Bhatt in the lead. The film has Shah Rukh as Dr Jehangir, an unconventional therapist who helps a budding cinematographer (Alia) gain a new perspective on life.
"I am happy the film has turned out well. Its Gauri Shinde and Alia Bhatt's film. I am a small part of it. I had to make sure I stand up to their expectations and I am very happy I could do that," Shah Rukh told reporters here last night at Star Screen awards.
Now, the 51-year-old actor is all excited about his next "Raaes" directed by Rahul Dholakia. The film is set to release on January 26.
"The trailer will be out on December 7. Hopefully everyone will like it. I hope everyone will like the film as well," he added.
