The makers of the popular web series 'Mirzapur' on Monday announced a Mirzapur movie that will introduce fresh storylines and bring back fan-favourite characters. The big news? Munna Bhaiyya, portrayed by Divyenndu, will make his return, reigniting excitement among fans.

On Monday, the creators unveiled plans for a cinematic expansion of Mirzapur. Created by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film is targeted for a 2026 release. Audiences can look forward to seeing familiar faces like Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi, with Abhishek Banerjee returning as the notorious Compounder alongside other characters. 


The caption of the announcement post read, "Ab bhaukaal bhi bada hoga, aur parda bhi. #MirzapurTheFilm, coming soon."

Discussing the transition from series to film, producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar of Excel Entertainment expressed their excitement. “It is a landmark milestone for us to bring the quintessential Mirzapur experience to our audiences, yet again, but this time on the big screen. Over the course of three successful seasons, this acclaimed franchise has struck all the right chords with fans through its powerful storytelling and memorable characters – from the likes of Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Bhaiya, and Munna Bhaiya, to name a few.”
