#MeToo: Tanushree Dutta REACTS to Nana Patekar OPTING out of ‘Housefull 4’
Tanushree Dutta has been credited for bringing the #MeToo wave in Bollywood after she leveled sexual harassment allegations against Nana Patekar. The former Miss India had alleged that the veteran actor harassed her on the sets of their film ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’ in 2008. Since then several women have come forward with their tale of #MeToo and the names of Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Vinod Dua have cropped up.
Tanushree had earlier questioned Twinkle Khanna over why her husband Akshay Kumar was still working with Nana Patekar in ‘Housefull 4’. Khiladi Kumar had asked the makers of the film to cancel the film after Sajid Khan was accused of sexual misconduct by three different women.
Sajid had to step down as the director of the comedy film after the serious allegations and soon Nana Patekar also backed out of the project.
Tanushree, while talking to a leading daily, reacted to Patekar moving out of ‘Housefull 4’. The Bengali beauty said that she is happy that Akshay decided to not work with these people (referring to Sajid and Nana)
“Let’s say I am not celebrating, yet because there is so much more that needs to be done. I am glad that somebody like Akshay finally decided to put his foot down and has chosen to not work with people such as these,'' Tanushree told DNA.
''I am also happy that Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and a couple of other production houses are taking a stand, but I would not want this to be a one-time Right now, the situation is hot, so let’s disassociate and at a later date collaborate again. So, I am just seeing where this is going before I can raise a toast,” Dutta further added.

The ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ actress expressed her gratitude to the people for their support. TV Producer- Writer Vinta Nanda, who accused Alok Nath of raping her, had said Tanushree encouraged her to tell her ordeal to the rest of the world.
“I appreciate any and all support I got, especially if it is encouraging other people to come forward. Vinta Nanda said she was encouraged by me. Now, people are scared and are thinking, ‘What did we do, who did we do it to?’ because you never know whose name will come up. Some think it will all go away after a while but I don’t want that to happen,” Tanushree told the daily.
