New Delhi: Neetu Kapoor faced criticism for her cryptic Instagram post on marriage that she shared on social media. In the midst of the recent controversy, a snippet of an old interview she gave is going viral on the internet.

She appears to justify the alleged "affairs" and "flings" of her late husband Rishi Kapoor in the interview. The video clip has created debate among fans and added fuel to the fire of controversy by casting doubt on Neetu's stance on adultery. In an old newspaper clipping that was posted on Reddit, Neetu recounts her late husband Rishi Kapoor's extramarital affairs in detail. In the interview, Neetu said that she often caught her husband Rishi Kapoor "flirting." She continued by saying that on outdoor shoots, she frequently found out about his hookups.

“I have caught him flirting hundreds of times. I always seem to be the first to hear about his affairs on outdoor locations. But I know they are just one night stands. Two years ago, I used to fight with him about it but now I have adopted the attitude-go ahead, let’s see how long will you do it," she said.

“We have become very confident about each other. I know his family comes first so why should I bother about his flings. They are just passing fancies. He is too dependent on me, he will never leave me. I feel that men should be given a certain amount of freedom. They are flirtatious by nature. One cannot bind them down," Neetu added.

On social media, Neetu's remarks about Rishi's adultery have received a lot of attention. Many people have criticised and called out the seasoned actress on Twitter for her apparent support of Rishi Kapoor's extramarital affairs.

In the meantime, social media is buzzing about Neetu's cryptic Instagram story, which seems to hint at Ranbir Kapoor's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. The post has been since been deleted in which netizens perceived her to be making light of her son's previous relationships. Neetu posted a picture with the caption,"Just because he dated you for 7 years, it doesn’t mean he will marry you. My uncle studied medicine for 6 years, now he is a DJ.”

The actress was criticised on social media because many immediately connected it to Ranbir's prior relationships with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
