Manasi Parekh paired opposite Mohit Raina in 'Uri'; To play his wife in the film!

Mouni Roy's ex-boyfriend & TV actor Mohit Raina, who became a household name after playing the role of 'Lord Shiva' in Life OK's popular show 'Devon Ke Dev - Mahadev', is set to make his Bollywood debut with the film 'Uri, also featuring Vicky Kaushal & Yami Gautam, and will be seen playing the role of an Indian Army Officer. Now the latest reports suggest that a TV actress has been paired opposite Mohit Raina in the film. Reportedly, TV actress Manasi Parekh will be seen playing the role of Mohit's wife in 'Uri'. Speaking about her role, a source informed an entertainment portal that, "Manasi will be playing a resolute army officer's wife - she is seen as Mohit Raina's wife and Vicky Kaushal's sister in the film.  She has a very bohemian look with lots of accessories and indo western clothes." Manasi too confirmed being a part of 'Uri' and told the portal that, "This role was of a strong army wife and that's something we don't get to know about often.  What happens to the wives of the army officers when they're are fighting for the country." Also getting to share screen space with Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Swaroop Sampat was too exciting for me as an actor." Few days ago, she even shared the great news on her Instagram account. For the uninitiated, 'Uri' is based on Indian army’s surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir that was carried out after the September 2016 Uri terror attacks. Speaking about Manasi, she made her TV debut with MTV show 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi' and rose to fame after playing the lead role in Star One show 'India Calling'. After which she went on to feature in shows like 'Gulaal', 'Remote Control' among others and was last seen in 'Sumit Sambhal Lega'.
