After the success of Accident or Conspiracy Godhra in theaters, which is soon to be released on OTT, the makers have announced their next venture. Produced by B.J. Purohit and directed by M.K. Shivaaksh, the new film is titled Calculator, a psychological thriller tackling the sensitive topics of mental health and rape. A gripping announcement teaser has been shared on social media, creating quite a buzz.

Produced under the banner of Om Trinetra Films, the film promises a thrilling mix of horror, suspense, and psychological drama. The teaser begins with a symbolic image of fish in a pond, representing how society witnesses everything but often chooses to remain silent. Rape is not just a physical act, but a trauma the victim endures for a lifetime. The world sees the madness of a rape survivor but overlooks the immense suffering behind it.

The teaser further intensifies with visuals of violence against women, blood-stained hands, and an eerie police siren. It then transitions to shots of a terrified woman, followed by disturbing imagery of the mind's turmoil post-assault. The question posed to the audience is poignant: Can you calculate her pain? The 1-minute 20-second teaser leaves a profound impact with these visuals, touching on two of society's most overlooked issues—mental health and rape.

Calculator delves deep into these social concerns, shedding light on the stigma surrounding mental illnesses. As the teaser suggests, when people witness someone struggling with their mental health, they often ignore the underlying pain and challenges. This film aims to raise awareness about mental health disorders, while also portraying the deep-rooted trauma of sexual violence. It stresses that rape is not just an isolated incident, but a lifelong agony for the victim.

Producer B.J. Purohit, while announcing the film, emphasized its importance: Calculator brings a story centred on mental health and the challenges related to it, a topic that remains largely neglected by society. This film narrates the pain of millions of families battling mental illness and suffering  due to society's ignorance, superstition, and insensitivity. The aim is to spread awareness about mental disorders and convey the message that without empathy and proper treatment, this problem cannot be solved.

Director M.K. Shivaaksh shared more about the film, saying, Calculator also deeply addresses the sensitive issue of rape, with the intention of sparking a change in societal attitudes and securing justice for the victims. This is not just a film but a campaign—a voice for those whose pain has gone unnoticed by society. We hope that Calculator touches the hearts of viewers and succeeds in spreading awareness about mental health. This story will soon come to life on screen, and we hope you engage with it as seriously as we've crafted it.

Calculator is set for release next year in Hindi, as well as Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, marking its wide reach across different language audiences. The cast will be announced soon.
