Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary is preparing to reunite with her 90s co-star and close friend, Suniel Shetty, in an upcoming project directed by a female filmmaker. In an interview with news agency IANS, Mahima shared exciting details about her future endeavors. She revealed that she had worked on a film for Karan Johar’s production house, Dharmatic, which is set to release on Netflix. The film, titled Naadaniyan, stars Mahima alongside Suniel Shetty, and she affectionately referred to him as “My Suniel Shetty.” The movie also features Khushi Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Dia Mirza, making it a star-studded project. Directed by Shona, the film has Mahima thrilled about being part of such a fantastic team.

In addition to this project, Mahima is also involved in a light-hearted comedy titled Durlabh Prasad ki Doosri Shaadi, where she stars alongside Sanjay Mishra. Mahima plays the second wife of Durlabh Prasad, portrayed by Mishra. She described the film as an entertaining and fun project, adding to her diverse range of roles.


Mahima’s Bollywood journey began with Pardes, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in a film directed and produced by Subhash Ghai. The movie was a major success and helped establish Mahima as a leading actress. She followed this with films like Dil Kya Kare, Daag, and Pyaar Koi Khel Nahin, but none replicated Pardes's success. Mahima also garnered recognition for her supporting roles in Dhadkan, Baghban, and LOC Kargil.

In 1999, Mahima was involved in a severe car accident, which left her with facial injuries. More recently, she faced breast cancer, undergoing treatment while revealing that her parents learned about her condition through a video shared by Anupam Kher.
