New Delhi: Akshay Kumar has shared a few "anmol ratans of humour" that his wife and author Twinkle Khanna penned for her weekly newspaper column. The former actor and now author poked fun at everyone who watched King Charles III's coronation on television a few days ago. She compared it to keeping an eye on an ex-lover's social media account.
On Sunday, Akshay posted a portion of Twinkle's article to his Instagram Stories, saying, “Some anmol ratans (precious pearls) of humour courtesy the pen of @twinklerkhanna.”
Twinkle wrote in the column of Times Of India, “I can understand the British being invested in King Charles' coronation, but so are a large number of Indians despite our legacy of colonisation. This fascination seems a bit like a relationship with an ex-lover, even one who has mistreated you. You don't miss them or ever want them back, but still find yourself occasionally stalking their Instagram feed, or as in this case, streaming live broadcasts of what one of my daughter's classmates described as, 'Two hours of watching a man sitting on a chair and trying on a hat'.”
The coronation of King Charles III of the UK took place on May 6. At the coronation concert in Windsor the following day, Sonam Kapoor performed. Prior to the coronation of King Charles III, Twinkle Khanna uploaded a video of herself joining the event without actually being present.
On the work front, alongside Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar is presently working on his action thriller 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'. On the occasion of Eid 2024, it is all ready to release in theatres. Along with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, he also had 'OMG- Oh My God 2'.
