The trailer of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani's much-awaited film 'Laxmmi Bomb', which was unveiled on  October 9, hogged all the limelight yesterday.  It not only sparked a meme fest on social media but also generated interest among the movie buffs. Several Bollywood celebs including Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, Sidharth Malhotra lauded Akshay's new avatar in the film. While a certain section of Twitter users trended #BoycottLaxmmiBomb, several users expressed their excitement after seeing the trailer.

The strong buzz surrounding the film has already started reaping benefits as the trailer of 'Laxmmi Bomb' became the most viewed trailer in India in the first 24 hours. The movie's trailer crossed over 70 million views in 24 hours, making it the most watched trailer in the country.

The makers of the film disabled the feature of viewing the number of 'likes' and 'dislikes' on YouTube after Akshay Kumar faced backlash from the fans in the comments section for his statement on the alleged usage of drugs in Bollywood. Fans slammed the production house and actors for hiding the like/dislike count on the trailer's video.

After Sushant Singh Rajput's death, several users have expressed their anger by disliking the trailer of films featuring 'nepo kids'. The trailer of Alia Bhatt's 'Sadak 2' and teaser of Ananya Panday starrer 'Khaali Peeli' feature in the list of most disliked videos on YouTube.

Akshay Kumar's character in 'Laxmmi Bomb' will be possessed by the spirit of a transgender person, who will seek revenge from her enemies. From draping a saree to wearing bangles, Khiladi Kumar will be seen in a different avatar in the movie.

'Laxmmi Bomb' is the Hindi remake of Tamil hit ' Muni: Kanchana 2'. The highly anticipated flick has been directed by Raghava Lawrence who helmed the original film. It will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on November 9, a day before the finals of IPL 2020. The film was originally slated to hit the silver screens on Eid 2020; however, it couldn't release due to the COVID-19 crisis.
