Lata Mangeshkar Death: Remembering 'Queen Of Melody' With 5 Iconic Songs

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode on Sunday morning.

New Delhi: Iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai at 8:12 am on Sunday. The whole nation is grief-stricken with Lata Didi's death as the legendary singer touched everybody's life with her evergreen songs. 

Lata Mangeshkar, the evergreen musical empress of Bollywood, was a name that was synonymous with music in India. The Queen of Melody, who moved the entire nation with her deep influencing voice, was as melodious as a nightingale.

Her voice was so powerful that it transcended all barriers of language, caste, creed, culture, region, and religion. Her accuracy of whether holding a note or negotiating difficult passages that demand the agility of an acrobatic voice remained unmatched and exemplary throughout her career.

The legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode on Sunday morning. After her death, Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating the singer at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, issued a statement.

He revealed that Lata Mangeshkar passed away due to miltiple organ failure. "It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post #COVID19," Dr Samdani informed.
