New Delhi: Salman Khan recently released the ‘Yentamma’ song from his upcoming film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’ In the song, the actor can be seen dancing, wearing a lungi with Venkatesh Daggubati and RRR star Ram Charan. The music is composed by Payal Dev, sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal, and Raftaar has rapped a portion of the song. The lyrics for the song are given by Shabbir Ahmed and Jani Master choreographed it.

The ‘lungi dance’ has not gone well with the former cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. He took to Twitter and said that in the song a “classical outfit” like lungi is shown in a “disgusting manner” in the Yentamma video.

He wrote, “This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a LUNGI , THIS IS A DHOTI. A classical outfit which is being shown in a DISGUSTING MANNER.”

When another user wrote that they were wearing shoes inside the temple, the former cricketer wrote, “Nowadays people do anything for money. Won’t they research what is a Lungi and a Dhoti. Even if it’s a set, it’s being projected as a temple. People associated with the movie should realise, no footwear inside the temple premises. Appealing to @CBFC_India to consider to BAN this.”

The Hindi-Telugu fusion song includes South superstar Ram Charan, in a special appearance shaking a leg with Salman Khan and Venkatesh Daggubati.

Directed by Farhad Samji, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Vijender Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar.

Releasing on Eid on April 21, the film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil movie, ‘Veeram’, which chronicled the story of man whose four younger brothers wanted him to get married so that they could settle down too.
