Kareena Kapoor Khan Praises Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant Massey For 12th Fail, Calls Them 'Legends'

New Delhi: Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, praised Vikrant Massey, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and their team on Friday for their highly acclaimed movie, '12th Fail'. Vikrant recently took home the 69th Filmfare Awards' Best Actor (Critics) trophy for his role in the movie.

Kareena took to Instagram stories and wrote, “12th Fail. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankr, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar and the entire cast and crew, legend’s.”

Reacting to the actor's story, Massey wrote on his Instagram story, “Bas, ab main retire ho sakta hoon!! Thank you so so much ma’am! You have no idea what this means to me.”

Earlier, fashion designer Masaba Gupta, who has been friends with Vikrant Massey since childhood, penned a note for the film.

“Vikrant Massey, I have known you since we were children but the self-belief, drive, ambition and most importantly the willingness to work so damn hard despite being talented was there from day 1. Congratulations. I cannot believe how good you are in 12th Fail. Setting an example for many to follow. This is just the beginning, it's too damn good. May we always have the courage to #restart," she wrote.

'12th Fail', directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, is based on actual events and focuses on UPSC candidates. It is based on the real-life challenges faced by millions of students who take the UPSC entrance exam. Moreover, at the 69th Filmfare Awards, 12th Fail won the title of Best Picture. Even though '12th Fail' got nominations for 12 different Filmfare categories, it won five, including Best Film and Best Director. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan will next be seen with Diljit Dosanjh, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in 'The Crew'. She also has 'Singham Again' directed by Rohit Shetty, which has Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and Ajay Devgn in major parts.
