New Delhi: Following the release of their most recent film, 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as well as director Karan Johar are currently basking in great success. The movie has proven to be profitable at the box office. On Thursday, the cast of the movie and KJo gathered to celebrate the romantic drama's success party.
The director shared some amusing anecdotes about various scenes during the event. The opening song for the event was 'Kudmayi' from 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', the entire version of which has not yet been released. The song, which stars Ranveer and Alia, is a gorgeously staged piece that ends with the two characters getting married in a lavish style. KJo shared a fascinating explanation for Alia's appearance in the song, saying that the actor wore her actual wedding mehendi on her hand during the song's filming. The mehendi on Alia's hand, he continued, is the same as the mehendi she had applied for her wedding; it was simply darkened for the cameras when the scene was filmed in Rajasthan.
"So Alia got married twice that week -- once in real life and once in reel life," Johar said.
The song, which plays at the end of the movie when Ranveer and Alia's characters eventually tied the knot, was shot four days after Alia got married her real-life husband, Ranbir Kapoor. Shahid Mallya sings the song, which was penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and was composed by Pritam. In the video, Rocky (Ranveer) and Rani (Alia) get married in front of their families.
Besides Alia and Ranveer, 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in major roles.
