Karan Johar didn't want Anushka Sharma in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' & thought her career is over post her debut film
Karan Johar did not approve of his current lead actress of 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', Anushka Sharma in her debut film opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2008 and this is shockingly surprising for us to know.
Karan eagerly wanted her replaced in Aditya Chopra's film and tried to even persuade him to do so in the most unbelievable manner.

KJo revealed this startling fact in a recent interview. In a chat with Rajeev Masand, he said, "I tried really hard. I told Aditya Chopra not to cast her. He showed me pics of Anushka Sharma and all and I was like 'Are you mad? What are you thinking? During Rab Ne also... she was sitting as a Dulhan and that was her first shot and my mother was feeling bad.. she came and told me 'This poor girl seems lost' . And I was thinking 'Oh god, I will have to be nice to her and poor thing she doesn't know there is no career left after this'. I was shocked Adi wanted to cast her. I used to stare at her thinking what did Adi see in her. But when I saw the film, she was okay. But what blew my mind was Band Baaja Baarat."

And how does Anushka react to this? "I am happy that he cast me. He was going to make me go out of the industry. It is an accomplishment."
Releasing on 28th October, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' stars Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Fawad Khan apart from Anushka in the lead.
