The trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film ‘Emergency’ was released on Wednesday. At the trailer launch the actor and filmmaker shared that she dreams of bringing together Bollywood’s three iconic Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan—in a single film that she would love to direct and produce.
Kangana wants to direct Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh in a film
During the event, Ranaut, who portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency, reflected on her desire to showcase the lesser-seen artistic sides of these superstars. "I would love to produce and direct a film with all three Khans. It would be an opportunity to highlight their immense talent, not only in acting but in making a significant impact on society through cinema. They are incredibly talented and have contributed a great deal to the industry. We should be eternally grateful to them for engaging with a mass audience in such a meaningful way,” she was quoted as saying by PTI.
Despite their legendary status, the three Khans have never appeared together in a single film. Shah Rukh and Salman have previously shared the screen in movies like ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, while Salman and Aamir co-starred in the cult classic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. However, a project that unites all three Khans has yet to materialize.
Kangana regrets not directing Irrfan Khan
She also expressed her regret over not having had the opportunity to direct the late Irrfan Khan, whom she regards as one of her favorite actors. "One actor I would always regret not being able to direct is Irrfan Khan Sahib. He is one of my favorite Khans. I would always miss him," she added.
