New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s car was stopped and surrounded by farmers in Punjab’s Kiratpur Sahib on Friday (December 3), according to IANS. While media reports suggested that the protesters demanded an apology from her over her social media posts on the farmers’ protest, the ‘Queen’ star claimed that they didn’t ask her to apologise.
What Did Kangana Ranaut Post?
Kangana shared a post on her Instagram story and said that she didn’t issue any apology. The 34-year-old actress said that she always supported the farmers and asked the gossip mongers to not spread rumours.

"No one asked me for an apology and I never apologised. Why should I apologise, for what? For genuine love and concern for the people of Punjab? No, I will never do that. Entire conversation with the women in the mob is in my story and even on media platforms. Don't spread rumours please. I always supported farmers and that's why I spoke in favor of farmers' bill and I will continue to do so. Jai Hind," Ranaut wrote.

The 'Panga' actress was on her way to the Chandigarh airport when her car was stopped by a group of men and women. The protesters, who carried flags of a farmer outfit, didn’t allow Kangana’s vehicle to move forward.
Heavy police from Rupnagar rushed to the spot after the protesters gheraoed her car. Ranaut, who claimed that the mob hurled abuses and issued death threats, spoke to some protesting women. She even compared one of the female protesters to her mother. "I studied in Punjab. You are like my mother," she said in a video, which she posted on Instagram story.
Kangana alleged that the incident is the result of the politics, which are being played in her name.

"In this country, this kind of mob lynching is happening openly. If I would not be having security with me, what situation would be there, what would happen? The situation here is unbelievable," she was quoted as saying by PTI.
The protesters allowed her car to proceed after the police officers persuaded them.

On the professional front, the 'Manikarnika' actress was last seen in 'Thalaivii'. The film, which was was based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, released on September 10, 2021.
