Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking: Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the sci-fi film "Kalki 2898 AD." According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film has already earned over ₹8 crore in advance bookings for its opening day. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is set to hit theaters on June 27.


The report states that 265,035 tickets have been sold for 1,726 shows, generating ₹7.7 crore in Telugu (3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D). In Hindi, 13,833 tickets have been sold for 1,738 shows, grossing ₹43.6 lakh (3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D). In Tamil (3D, 2D), 2,925 tickets were sold for 278 shows, earning ₹5.12 lakh. 


For Kannada, 101 tickets were sold for 32 shows, grossing ₹23,300, and in Malayalam, a single ticket for one show grossed ₹300. These numbers are for 2D. At the time of writing, the total across India stands at 281,895 tickets sold for 3,775 shows, grossing ₹8.22 crore.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, among others. Set in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by Hindu scriptures, "Kalki 2898 AD" is set in the year 2898. A recently unveiled trailer features Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Ashwathama, telling Deepika Padukone’s character, "They say the whole universe resides within God. But God himself resides in your womb," along with introductions of other characters.

At a recent grand event in Mumbai, actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika, Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati were present. During the event, Amitabh shared his experience working on the film, expressing his admiration for director Nag Ashwin's vision and concept.
