New Delhi: Basking in the super-success of his last release 'Kabir Singh', Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is all set to start shooting for his next film 'Jersey' which is the official Hindi remake of Telugu hit of the same name. Featuring 'Super 30' actress Mrunal Thakur opposite Shahid Kapoor, 'Jersey' makers have now roped in another super-talented actor to play a pivotal role in the film and he's none other than Pankaj Kapur. Yes, you read that right! After 'Shaandaar', Pankaj Kapur is confirmed to reunite with son Shahid Kapoor in 'Jersey'.

Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur will reportedly play the role Shahid Kapoor's mentor in the much-awaited film. Pankaj Kapur was last seen in Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandaar' in 2015 & 'Jersey' will mark his Bollywood comeback after a gap of five years.

Pankaj Kapur confirmed being a part of 'Jersey' and informed a leading daily that, "Jersey is a strong story driven by emotions. Working with Shahid has always been interesting. I admire his ability to portray emotions beautifully."

'Jersey' director Gowtam Tannanuri, who also directed the original film, is super-excited as he'll be working with Pankaj Kapur for the first time.
