Conspiracy To Defame Bollywood! Jaya Bachchan Slams Kangana Ranaut, Ravi Kishan’s Comments About Film Industry In Monsoon Session Of Parliament!

Ravi Kishan, a popular actor of Bhojpuri and Hindi films, and a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh had raised in parliament the drugs-related allegations on Monday.

Rajya Sabha MP and veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan has slammed actor-politician Ravi Kishan and actress Kangana Ranaut over their recent comments about the Bollywood industry. Amid the raging controversy over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and the subsequent blame game that has been going on for the past three months, Samajwadi Party member Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday raised the issue of continuous effort to defame the film industry in the Rajya Sabha. Jaya Bachchan spoke about an alleged ‘conspiracy to defame the film industry’ on the second day of the Monsoon Session in Parliament. She had given a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha, which can be raised for critical matters with the approval of the Speaker. Bachchan demanded the government to provide protection and put a ban on the unending bashing being faced by members of the film industry. People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language,” Jaya said on Tuesday, according to ANI. Previously, actor Kangana Ranaut had called the film industry a ‘gutter’ and alleged that 99% of the people who work in it have been exposed to drugs. Ravi Kishan, a popular actor of Bhojpuri and Hindi films, and a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh, too had raised in parliament the drugs-related allegations on Monday. Kishan had said in parliament yesterday that drug addiction is in the film industry too, saying that the industry is being "vilified on social media". Ravi Kishan asked the government to take strict action against those involved in drug trafficking. "Just because of a few people, you cannot tarnish the whole industry... I was embarrassed and ashamed yesterday that one of the members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the industry itself, spoke ill of the industry. Jis thaali me khaate hain usi me chched karte hain," Bachchan said in the Rajya Sabha today, referring to the BJP MP's statement in Lok Sabha.
