New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ is a highly-awaited film. After Pathaan’s success, fans are highly anticipating the release of the Atlee directorial. The advance bookings of the Shah Rukh Khan film 'Jawan' have already begun.
A source close to Jawan’s production house shared, “Advance booking for 'Jawan' has commenced internationally across US, UAE, Oman, Australia, and Germany with more countries to follow soon. This distinctive move to initiate early advance bookings by International exhibitors for JAWAN is generated by the phenomenal success of Pathaan and is also a reflection of the great numbers a Shah Rukh Khan's film garners historically in these regions. Normally they don’t open up this early for other films, but due to the interest and demand from exhibitors globally it has been fast-tracked.”
“As the advance bookings continue to roll out in other territories, it becomes evident that "Jawan" is a Big ticket event film not only in India but also overseas. Witnessing such a surge in advance booking numbers is nothing short of encouraging, as it highlights the vital role major films play in fostering the growth of both the film industry and theatres alike.” The source added.
According to Venky Reviews and Sacnilk, 4,800 tickets worth $74.2K from 289 locations have been sold. The locations and shows will be increased in the coming days as the release date of the film gets near.
For those unaware, SRK's 'Pathaan' earned $1.85 million on the opening day in North America. As per several trade analysis sites and industry figures, Jawan's opening day collection in the US is likely to be more than than Pathaan's US.
Many have estimated that the Atlee directorial will open at Rs. 50 crores as compared to Pathaan's overseas collection of Rs. 37 crores.
'Jawan' has been directed by Atlee and stars Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi. The film will have a grand re;ease in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The official synopsis of the film reads, " A man is driven by a personal vendetta to rectify the wrongs in society, while keeping a promise made years ago. He comes up against a monstrous outlaw with no fear, who has caused extreme suffering to many."
After the release of 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Rajkummar Hirani's film 'Dunki' alongwith Taapsee Pannu.
Fans in these nations rushed to secure their seats for the much-awaited event film. The buzz is undeniable, with renowned cinema chains like Vox, AMC, Cinemark and more leading the charge by opening their booking portals.
