New Delhi: After 13 years, James Cameron's eagerly anticipated 'Avatar' sequel finally arrived in theatres. The cast and characters of 'Avatar: The Way of Water' have undergone major changes throughout the interval between films.


Jake Sully and Neytiri, who are members of the Na'vi clan and who have grown to have a sizable family and continue to be a central character in the movie's sequel. Kate Winslet plays Ronal, a pregnant member of the Metkayina tribe, in the movie, which exposes us to a new tribe that lives near water.


Both new and returning cast members make an appearance in 'Avatar 2'. Here is all you need to know about the 'Avatar: The Way of Water' cast and the characters they play.


Sam Worthington as Jake Sully


In the lead role of Jake Sully for 'Avatar: The Way of Water', Australian actor Sam Worthington made a comeback. The Na'vi clan known as the Omatikaya is led by Sully, who is well-established in his Avatar body. After falling in love with the Na'vi warrior Neytiri, he decides to support her people in their fight against humans attempting to invade Pandora.


Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri 


In the 'Avatar' sequel, actress Zoe Saldana reprised her role as Neytiri. She is forced to leave her tribe and the forest she grew up in early on in the movie in order to avoid being persecuted by people. She is now Kiri's adoptive mother as well as the mother of Jake's three children.


Cliff Curtis as Tonowari


One of the new Avatar 2 characters, Tonowari, is portrayed by New Zealand actor Cliff Curtis. Tonowari is the Olo'eyktan (chief) of the Metkayina tribe, making him comparable in position to Jake Sully. He is Ronal's partner, and together they have the children Ao'nung and Tsireya.


Kate Winslet as Ronal


After 25 years since the filming of 'Titanic', actor Kate Winslet returns to work with director James Cameron to portray Ronal in 'Avatar 2'. She plays the wife of Tonowari, the tribal chief, in the movie, and is expecting their youngest child.


Sigourney Weaver as Kiri


Kiri is the teenage Na'vi daughter that Jake and Neytiri adopted. The part is played by Sigourney Weaver. Weaver originally portrayed Dr. Grace Augustine, who passed away during the RDA attack on Hometree, in the first movie.


Britain Dalton as Lo'ak


Actor Britain Dalton portrays L'oak, one of the new characters in 'Avatar 2'. He is the youngest child of Jake and Neytiri and one of the main characters in the narrative.


Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch


Stephen Lang, who played Miles Quarritch in the original movie, is back in the role of the main antagonist. The character is reincarnated as a Recombinant, where he has the same traits and appears exactly like the N'avi, after dying at Jake's hands at the end of the first movie.


Jamie Flatters as Neteyam


Jamie Flatters, who portrayed Neteyam, is the oldest biological son of Jake and Neytiri. He is shot in a battle against the RDA while attempting to defend his family.


Trinity Jo-Li Bliss as Tuk


The only daughter and youngest child of Jake and Neytiri is Tuktirey (Tuk). She does, however, play a fairly minor role in comparison to her older brothers Neteyam and L'oak, only becoming prominent at the conclusion of the movie when she is caught by Miles Quarritch.


Jack Champion as Spider


Spider is a character played by Jack Champion who was born on Pandora after the RDA left following the events of the first film. He was raised among the Na'vi, hanging out in the labs with Norm and Max and forming relationships with Jake and Neytiri's children.


Bailey Bass as Tsireya


Tsireya is the sister of Aonung and the daughter of Tonowari and Ronal. She, Loak, and Tuktirey, the sister of the latter, are all caught by Quarritch and his men at the end of the movie.
