Jacqueline Fernandez’s Spokesperson Issues Statement Refuting Rumours About Dating Conman
The ‘Ram Setu’ actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been reportedly summoned by the ED to appear before them as a witness in the alleged case of conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
New Delhi: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez landed into legal trouble when she was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged extortion case of conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The ‘Ram Setu’ actress has been reportedly summoned by the ED to appear before them as a witness in the case.
However, amid all these, several media reports came out where it has been alleged that Jacqueline Fernandez was dating the conman. According to a report of India Today, Sukesh’s lawyer Anant Malik claimed while speaking to the media, “Jacqueline and Sukesh were dating, these are my instructions, this is straight from the horse's mouth.”
Jacqueline Fernandez’s team has now released a statement on her behalf refuting the rumours about her dating Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The statement read, “Jacqueline Fernandez is being called to testify as a witness by the ED. She has duly recorded her statements and in future will also be completely co operating with the agency in the investigations. Jacqueline also categorically denies alleged slanderous statements made about relationship with the involved couple.”
Jacqueline Fernandez’s name came up while investigating the alleged money laundering case which is being probed by the ED. The central investigating agency has issued a fresh summon to the ‘Cirkus’ actress last week after she skipped her questioning for the second time.
Other than the ‘Bachchan Pandey’ actress, Nora Fatehi has also been summoned by the ED in the mentioned case. Her team also released in a statement. A portion of the statement read, “On behalf of Nora Fatehi, we would like to clarify the various conjectures floating around amongst the media. Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by ED to strictly help with the investigation.”
Speaking on the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez will be next seen featuring in ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Cirkus’, ‘Vikrant Rona’ and ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’.
