The Income Tax department on Wednesday (March 3) conducted raids at the premise of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and others as part of their probe into a ‘Tax evasion’ matter. The I-T department detected financial irregularities of over 300 crore after it raided the properties of a leading B-town actress, two talent management companies and two production houses, the Central Board of Direct Taxes said in a statement.

Kangana Ranaut shared a statement on her official Twitter handle and took at dig at the celebs who faced the I-T raid. Without taking names, she shared a post on the micro-blogging site. The ‘Panga’ actress mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi in her tweet.
"Once a thief, always a post. Those who want to sell their motherland and cut it into pieces are traitors. The people supporting such traitors are also thieves,” she wrote.
Kangana further wrote, “They are not just #TaxChor huge transactions of black money has happened, did they get that money for provoking #Shaheenbagh riots or #republicdayviolence. From where the black money came and where did they send the black money which isn’t accounted for?”
The 'Queen' star, who often takes jibe at Taapsee, posted another tweet on the micro-blogging site. She wrote, "Every minute the numbers are rising, this is only the money they found clues for, one can only imagine what could be the actual numbers of money laundering."
The I-T Department, without specifying the name of the production house, said that their team found ‘evident of suppression of income’ when compared to the box office collections. “Evident of cash receipts by the leading actress amounting to Rs 5 crore has been recovered,” the statement read.
