New Delhi: Biopics of sports-persons have always grabbed eyeballs at the box office, be it 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' or 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.
If a recent grapevine is to be believed, movie buffs might soon be able to see a biopic of Sourav Ganguly on the silver screen. Yes, you read that right. After MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, another biopic on the life of a former Indian cricketer is on the cards.

According to a report in a leading daily, filmmaker Karan Johar is keen to showcase Sourav Ganguly’s story on the big screen and he recently met the new BCCI president.

KJo and Sourav had a couple of meetings regarding the biopic, the report in Mumbai Mirror added.

Interestingly, gossip mills have been buzzing with the rumours that the team at Dharma Productions is busy looking out for the actor, who will play the role of Dada in his biopic.

Interestingly, Sourav Ganguly had earlier suggested Hrithik Roshan’s name for the lead actor in his biopic. Speculations are rife that we may see the ‘Super 30’ actor in the yet-to-be announced film.

On the professional front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in ‘War’. The film co-starring Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor had set the box office on fire.

Kabir Khan’s  ‘83’, which is based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup victory will hit the silver screens on April 10, 2020. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev in the sports drama.
