New Delhi: The 'Mirzapur 3' fan fever continues to die down despite the not-so-good reviews. Perhaps, it is the collective appeal of the show with an envious ensemble cast put together, or the individual performances of Pankaj Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya, Divyendu Sharma's Munna Bhaiya or Ali Fazal's Guddu Bhaiya, but the action-crime series has a loyal fan army that at any instance can defend the series on social media.
Rumours about Mirzapur film
Recently, some rumours began circulating about a film adaptation of 'Mirzapur'. While the opportunity is certainly exciting, it is speculated that Hrithik Roshan could be seen in the role of Kaleen Bhaiya. And, as surprising as the news may be, several fans are upset about this rumoured casting decision.
There are reports about the Indian Greek god of Bollywood being approached to headline the film based on 'Mirzapur'. Hrithik Roshan is said to have been approached to play the role of the iconic Kaleen Bhaiya. Soon after the news began circulating, several fans and netizens expressed their disapproval about the same on social media platforms like X and Instagram.
Netizens comment
A netizen commented, "Sb #Mirzapur dekh chuke h. Theatre m koi nahi dekhega..Disaster Hogi without Pankaj Tripathi and Munna bhaiya...💥🔥”, another wrote, "Gali kha kar mar jayega , people will never accept someone else in kaleen bhaiya's role other than pankaj tripathi.”
However, some Hrithik Roshan fans were quick to point out that portraying Kaleen Bhaiya's role may not be a good decision for his career, if he takes uo the rumoured Mirzapur movie.
A fan shared, “Bhai, please this is a terrible idea. Mirzapur itna bhi great show nahi hai ki movie ban jaye uski. Plus hrithik has done two movies with the bihari-up accent. People aren't gonna be interested”, while another said, "Hrx should not do it.....we had enough of Vikram vedha....no more remakes plz....he should stick doing original films…”
The internet is almost divided about HR joining the rumoured 'Mirzapur' film for various reasons. While most of this is just speculation, imagine the uproar if an actual announcement of the film came about.
