Mumbai: Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa starrer ‘Honsla Rakh’ has managed to set the cash registers jingling. The romantic comedy, which released on October 15, has started on a solid note at the box office. Diljit’s magic worked wonders for the film as ‘Honsla Rakh’ emerged as the biggest opener in Punjab. 

‘Honsla Rakh’ Second Day Collection 

After minting Rs 5.15 crore on its opening day, the film has collected Rs 5.85 crore on the second day, taking the total box office collection to Rs 11 crore. The new release has resonated well with the family audience and this is reflecting in its earnings. 

Diljit took to social media to share the second day box office collection of ‘Honsla Rakh’. He is on cloud nine as the film has shattered several records upon its release.  

'Honsla Rakh' Story

The movie focussed on a divorced father (Diljit), who raised his son ( Shinde Grewal) single handedly. Things take a turn when his former partner re-enters his life. His ex-wife Sweety (Shehnaaz) decides to comeback when he starts dating someone else. The film is full of hilarious scenes and dialogues, which will leave you in splits.

'Honsla Rakh' marked Diljit's debut as a producer. The film, which was directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, was shot in Canada. Diljit's sizzling chemistry with both Shehnaaz and Sonam has grabbed eyeballs. Instagram is flooded with reels from the movie. 

Shehnaaz Gill, who was seen opposite Diljit, received praises for her performance in the film. The 'Bigg Boss 13' contestant had stayed away from limelight since Sidharth Shukla's death. Her fans were elated to see the actress during the promotions of the film.

Dosanjh had shared videos with Gill from the promotions of 'Honsla Rakh' on Instagram. Fans had flooded the comment section with their messages, expressing their happiness on seeing Shehnaaz in a better state.
