New Delhi: Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who has been in the news for rumoured relationship with actress Kiara Advani, once claimed that the women he dated gave him 'flak'.

The actor claimed that he faced criticism when he chose to go to the gym over going out with his girlfriend when talking about his dating life.

The actor stated in an old interview he gave to Hindustan Times in 2014,"Maybe I haven’t had the chance for a potential relationship. But it’s not like I don’t have my share of dating and going out and experimenting. Right now, my priority is to create a place for myself in the industry. In the past, I have got flak from women I’ve dated for opting to go to the gym over going out with them. So as and when I am ready to announce something officially, I will."

"Of course. I think we are all entitled to them. I am a growing up boy, who is staying alone in Mumbai (smiles). So, we all have our share of friendships and equations," Sidharth had also said, when discussing relationships.

Meanwhile, as per reports, it's been a very long time since Sidharth and Kiara Advani started dating. The actor have been routinely photographed together by paparazzi. In a few months, the B-town couple are reportedly getting married.

However, Sidharth denied the rumours, saying he hadn't received an invitation to his own wedding. In an interview with GOODTiMES, the actor said, "Kisine invite nahi kiya mujhe shaadi pe . Public ne kiya, nobody has invited me. Twice I've read dates and all, I'll also check for a moment. Am I getting married?"

On the work front, the next film starring Sidharth will be Shantanu Bagchi's spy thriller 'Mission Majnu'. The actor portrays Indian intelligence agent Amandeep Ajitpal Singh, who poses as Tariq to inform India of state secrets pertaining to Pakistan's nuclear capability.

Netflix will release 'Mission Majnu' on January 20. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sharib Hashmi, Parmeet Sethi, and Kumud Mishra in addition to Sidharth.
