New Delhi: Veteran singer Asha Bhosle turned 88 on Tuesday (September 8). The living legend has been officially acknowledged by the Guinness Book Of World Records for being the most recorded artist in the history of music. Not only this, but she has also been honoured with the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Award’ and ‘Padma Vibhushan’. She also made an appearance as an actress and received critical acclamation for her performance in the Hindi film ‘Mai’. Today, on the occasion of her 88th birthday, Asha Bhosle shared some pictures from her birthday celebrations.

The singer expressed how she still feels like 40 even when she stepped into her 88th. She hopes that everyone feels positive about life just like she does and thanked everyone for their wishes.

Her caption read, “I've completed my 87th and stepped into my 88th but I feel 40! Like me I hope you all feel positive about life. Keep smiling and my advise is to pls be that positive person for all around you - spread the happiness. Thank you so much for all your wishes”



In another post, she divulged into telling how her granddaughter organised everything for her birthday celebrations. Asha Bhosle shared an adorable picture with her granddaughter.

While sharing the picture she wrote, “Meri poti ne mere janmadin ke liye sab kuch organize kiya! Thank you beta! Hamara bahut hi special rishta hai”



The singer’s sister Lata Mangeshkar also took to her Twitter and wished her sister on her birthday. Her tweet read, “Namaskar. Aaj meri choti behen @ashabhosle ka janamdin hai.Asha apne aap mein ek bahut badi gayika hai.uska naam saari duniyaa jaanti hain. Main usko aashirwad deti hun ki wo aisehi gaati rahe aur hamesha khush rahe.”
