Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are finally here with their first pairing onscreen ever as the makers drop the highly anticipated trailer of 'Gully Boy' in which the 'Simmba' actor plays a rapper. While his latest release 'Simmba' is rocking at the box office with collection of over 200 crores in 12 days, the new trailer is also winning the internet and him along with Alia Bhatt are making fans go crazy.

Based on the lives of street rappers of Mumbai- Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, the trailer is a treat to watch as the first-time jodi of Ranveer-Alia wins over the hearts with the portrayals of 'Naved Shaikh' and 'Shakina' respectively. Kalki Koechlin plays a music producer.

The two-minute-40-seconds clip shows the journey of the 'Padmaavat' star who plays the role of an underground rapper in India who beats all odds to become famous. Just like Ranveer, even Alia rebels against the society to achieve her dream.

Ranveer shared the trailer on Twitter with the message - "His words will set him free. out now. ".

While the film has been constantly ever since it's teaser release, compared with Oscar award winning Hollywood film '8 Mile' starring rapper Eminem, the look of Ranveer in it also reminds many of his own debut film 'Band Baaja Baaraat'.
