'Good Newwz' Box Office Collection: Akshay & Kareena's Film Inches Closer To Rs 150 Crore

'Good Newwz' co-starring Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh is inching closer to the Rs 150 crore mark.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan,  Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Good Newwz’ has managed to set the box office on fire. The film, which released on December 27, has proved to be a hit. The Raj Mehta directorial minted Rs 11.70 crore on its second Saturday to take the total collection to Rs 147.70 crore. ‘Good Newwz’ co-starring Tisca Chopra will enter the Rs 150 crore club on Sunday. Trade pundits were expecting the comedy drama to do well and the film surpassed all the expectations. Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the total box office collection of ‘Good Newwz’ on Twitter. 'Good Newwz', which is about the tryst of two couple with IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation), has been produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. The film received good reviews from the critics and fans. 2019 proved to be a successful year for Akshay Kumar as he delivered four hits in the form of 'Kesari', 'Mission Mangal', 'Housefull 4' and 'Good Newwz'. The 'PadMan' actor, while talking to a news agency, said that he is overwhelmed with the success of 'Good Newwz'. "We are extremely overwhelmed with the response coming in for 'Good Newwz' as it's a subject which had to be shared with the audience. It's an important subject and I thank the viewers not only in India but also overseas that they have accepted us with open hearts.
