New Delhi: 'Gadar 2', starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, maintained its strong domestic box office performance. On Monday, the fourth day of its release, the movie brought in approximately Rs 40 crore, according to Sacnilk.com. Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma and also stars Utkarsh Sharma. The movie premiered in theatres last Friday.


Early estimates indicate that Gadar 2 made Rs 39 crore net on its fourth day in India, according to Sacnilk.com. The movie made 40.1 crore on the first day of release, 43.08 crore on the second, and 51.7 crore on the third. 'Gadar 2' has currently made a total of 173.88 crore at the Indian box office.


Makers of the film recently had a celebration in Mumbai to mark Gadar 2's triumph. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh, Simrat Kaur, Gaurav Chopra, Udit Narayan, Mithun, Palak Muchhal, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Subhash Ghai were among those in attendance.


During the press conference of the film on Monday, Sunny Deol talked about the film's success and said, "I was very stressed, everyone is stressed about something in life because everyone works hard and they don't want to fail. In my life, I've always walked on the path of truth and that's the most difficult thing to do.


"But when you attain success, you do feel very good about it. When this film released, I realised I've God's blessings. I was crying and happy at the same time. I met my father that day, I told him that I'm very happy and going crazy."


'Gadar 2' is the sequel to the 2001 theatrical release of 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'. In the movie, which is set in 1947 during the partition of India, Sunny portrayed Tara Singh, a truck driver, and Ameesha portrayed Sakeena.


'Gadar 2' follows Tara as he crosses the border to free his son, who is being held captive in Pakistan, and is portrayed by Utkarsh. Since its August 11 release, it has received a lot of adoration and acclaim from the public and has performed admirably at the box office.
