New Delhi: 'Gadar 2', directed by Anil Sharma, has at long last joined the 500 crore club at home theatres. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie made over 8 crore rupees on Sunday. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma play the main characters in 'Gadar 2', the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster drama 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.'


'Gadar 2' reportedly made Rs 8.50 million net on its 24th day in India, according to Sacnilk.com's preliminary calculations. Since its release, the movie has made 284.63 crore in the first week, 134.47 crore in the second, and 63.35 crore in the third. After earning 8.50 crore on its fourth Sunday, 'Gadar 2' has now amassed 501.87 crore in revenue in India.


'Gadar 2' became the third Hindi movie to gross 500 crore nett. It joined Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' and SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2 The Conclusion' (2017). Of the three films, 'Gadar 2' reached the milestone the quickest. In the past, 'Pathaan' entered the 500 crore club in 28 days, beating 'Baahubali's previous record of 34 days.


 






'Gadar 2' has also made more than 650 crore at the global box office. It rose to the position of 10th-highest grossing Indian film of all time. It outperformed Baahubali: The Beginning, which had a global gross of 650 crore in 2015.


The movie is a follow-up to the popular 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. In Gadar 2, Sunny Deol reprises his well-known role as Tara Singh alongside Ameesha Patel as Sakeena and Utkarsh Sharma as Charanjeet Singh, the couple's kid.


After the Covid-19 pandemic, the movie, which released on August 11, has been one of the largest box office blockbusters. In Gadar 2, which is set in 1971, Tara Singh travels to Pakistan to free his son Charanjeet from the Pakistani Army. Gaurav Chopra and Manish Wadhwa are also featured in Gadar 2.
