New Delhi: 'Barbie', a film by Greta Gerwig that premiered on Friday, has since broken numerous worldwide box office records. At the box office, the movie clashed with Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' but has since outperformed it worldwide. An AI version of Indian actors dressed as Barbies has surfaced online as the Margot Robbie-starring movie captures the nation's attention.


With the tagline "What if Barbie was made in Bollywood," the video was posted on a Reddit page. In place of Margot Robbie, who plays Barbie in the newly released Greta Gerwig movie, it features the likes of Aishwarya Rai, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kareena Kapoor.

Aishwarya Rai appears to be the clear favourite for the role of Barbie, based on responses on Reddit. They appear to have settled on Alia Bhatt as a second choice. The most deemed unsuitable actor for the role of Barbie is Kareena Kapoor, as per the comments on the post.


Meanwhile, within six days of its release, the Margot Robbie starrer movie brought in more than Rs 25 crore in India. By Wednesday, 'Barbie' had brought in about Rs 25.55 crore.  On its first Friday, the movie earned Rs 5 crore. The film is outpacing Oppenheimer in terms of box office revenue worldwide. According to Ramesh Bala, a film trade analyst, 'Barbie' had earned over $500 million as of Wednesday. 'Oppenheimer', on the other hand, has grossed more than $250 million at the global box office.


The two main protagonists of the film are Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling). They set out on a self-discovery journey after going through an existential crisis.
