New Delhi: With its immensely captivating and inspiring story, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail has ruled the hearts of the masses ever since its release. The film is rated the highest, with a rating of 9.2 out of 10 on IMDb, and has topped several lists of best films of the year back home. The film also made a distinct mark in the hearts of the masses and has now set its rule at the Filmfare awards by taking home several awards. While 12th Fail grabbed nominations in 12 categories at the Filmfare awards, it took home awards in 5 categories ranging from Best Film to Best Director.

12th Fail, based on a true story, draws from the struggles of the millions of students who attempt the UPSC entrance exam. But at the same time, it goes beyond that one exam and encourages people to not lose heart in the face of failure and to restart.
