New Delhi: We all know that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt considers filmmaker Karan Johar her mentor and reaches out to her whenever she needs any advice. Karan launched Alia along with Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in his film ‘Student of the Year’ in 2012. The 26-year-old actress actress has worked with KJo in several of his films, be it ‘Raazi’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ or ‘Kapoor & Sons’.

During an episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 6’, KJo asked Kriti Sanon about the quality of the actresses she wished she had. When he took Alia’s name, the ‘Luka Chuppi’ actress pointed out towards Karan. We believe even the tinsel town celebs know the special place Karan holds in Alia's life.

Alia took home the winner’s trophy for ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in ‘Raazi’ at the recently held Filmfare Awards 2019. While giving an acceptance speech, the ‘Highway’ actress thanked Karan Johar for being her mentor.

‘’Everything I look at you Karan, thank you for being my mentor, my father, giving me something so so special in my life,’’ Alia was quoted as saying during the awards show.

The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director got all emotional and had tears in his eyes. Karan and Alia hugged each other, making the people sitting at the arena go aww.

On the professional front, Alia will be next seen in ‘Kalank’. The period drama co-starring Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur will release on April 17. Other than ‘Kalank’, Alia has two other films in her kitty- ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Takht’. The two films are being produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
