Mumbai: A Special NDPS court on Thursday (October 21) extended the judicial custody of Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaz Seth Merchant and other accused in seizure of drugs case till October 30, according to ANI. Aryan, who is the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was detained and later arrested following NCB's raid at a Goa-bound luxury cruise on October 2.
The development came few hours after the Bombay High Court decided to take up Aryan's bail application on October 26. While Aryan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde sought urgent hearing on Friday or Monday, the court posted the hearing of the bail plea of SRK's son in a drugs case by the NCB to next Tuesday.
Aryan challenged the ruling of a Special NDPS Court, which had rejected the bail applications of the star kid, Arbaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in connection with an alleged rave party case. For the unversed, Aryan's 14-day judicial custody ended on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, the Narcotics Control Bureau paid a formal 'visit' to Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow in Bandra West. The officials collected documents related to their investigation in the drugs case. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede issued a statement to refute the reports, which suggested that NCB conducted raid at SRK's house 'Mannat'.
"The NCB Mumbai Zonal Unit officials visited 'Mannat', the residence of Aryan Khan in connection with the (Cr.94/21 case) for seeking certain material related to the investigation of the case from Shah Rukh Khan, by following due procedure of notice, etc.," the statement read.
