New Delhi: In recent interactions with the media, Naga Chaitanya spoke candidly for the first time about his divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation to their fans on social media in the year 2021.
After that, the estranged couple addressed their split in a number of interviews. However, according to various reports, their divorce was caused by third-party interference. Both Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have moved on in life and have decided to focus on their separate careers. Rumour has it that Sobhita Dhulipala, who starred in 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', is Naga's new love interest.
Recently, several pictures on the internet also seem to back up this. The pair have been mum about the situation.
“It is only when the media speculates that things get awkward between us. In the public eye, that mutual respect is taken away. That’s what I feel bad about. And you do what is worse? They bring in a third party, someone who is not connected to my past to create headlines out of that. It’s very disrespectful to the third party whom they are unnecessarily involving with my past," he said.
Before they made their split official, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Prabhu were married for almost four years. While Chaitanya and Samantha have remained silent over the cause of their divorce, the actor admitted that the divorce was finalised last year and they have been legally divorced for a year at this point.
Recently, a report by The Siasat Daily stated that Samantha has reacted to the rumours of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita dating.
The news report stated Samantha as saying, "I am not bothered as to who is in a relationship with whom. Those who do not know the value of love will be left in tears irrespective of the number of people they date. At least that girl should be happy. If he changes his behaviour and looks after the girl without hurting her, it will be good for everyone.”
Later, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made it clear in a tweet that she never made any comments about the alleged romance.
