Dimple Kapadia Slapped Ranbir Kapoor 15-20 Times For A Scene in 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar'

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar has a scene in which Ranbir gets slapped by Dimple but what is interesting is that particular shot took 15-20 retakes

New Delhi: ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ has been ruling the box office ever since its release. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor, the film has become an audience favourite.

Running successfully in theatres, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ has many comic moments in the film. For instance; the times Dimple Kapadia slaps Ranbir Kapoor ( who portrays her son in the film) when he does not listen to her.

Recently, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia opened up about slapping Ranbir for about 15-20 times while filming a scene.

The film has a scene in which Ranbir gets slapped by Dimple but what is interesting is that particular shot took 15-20 retakes. The director of the film, Luv Ranjan got the perfect shot in the second take, but just to tease the team, he said one more take, repeatedly.

This made everyone ask Dimple Kapadia if she was actually slapping Ranbir. Turns out, Ranbir's timing was so perfect that he was ducking the slap at the right time.

Reacting to this, Dimple Kapadia gave a hilarious response and told news agency IANS: "He is Rishi Kapoor's son and he knows his timing very well."

The on-screen bond and mother-son chemistry between Dimple Kapadia and Ranbir Kapoor is being loved by the audience.

As per film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is doing exceptionally well at the box office. Taking to his official Twitter handle, the trade analyst tweeted the official numbers and wrotre "#TuJhoothiMainMakkaar remains strong… The core markets [#Mumbai, #Delhi, #NCR, #Bengaluru] continue to hold at steady levels… Wed 15.73 cr, Thu 10.34 cr, Fri 10.52 cr, Sat 16.57 cr, Sun 17.08 cr, Mon 6.05 cr, Tue 6.02 cr. Total: ₹ 82.31 cr. #India biz. #TJMM."

'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar', directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films' Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T-Series' Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar is running in theatres.
