New Delhi: The team of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' organised a press meet on Thursday to celebrate the success of the film. The meet was attended by director Karan Johar and the cast of the film including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Tota Roy Chowdhary, Churni Ganguly, Anjali Anand, and Kshitee Jog. Just like in the film, veteran actor Dharmendra took the limelight in the press meet as well by giving a hilarious reply when Ranveer Singh told him that he should visit theatres to watch the audience’s reaction to their kiss.

The film has a romantic track between Dharmendra and Shabana, and in one of the scenes, the actors share a brief kiss. As expected, the scene received a tremendous response from the audience and is one of the film's highlights. In the press meet, Dharmendra was asked about the much-talked-about kiss, and Ranveer then told him, “Dharam ji, you should go to the halls just to watch the audience’s reaction to ‘woh wala scene.’” The veteran actor then said jokingly, “Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the premiere, but I’ve received a lot of messages from people. Maine bola, ‘Yaar, yeh toh mere daaye haath ka kaam hai (I can do this in my sleep).”  As everyone applauded his response, he said, “Baaye haath se karwana hai, woh bhi karwa lo.”

He continued and described his experience as "bohut maza aaya (had a great deal of fun)," and "Jab jab mauka milta hai, chakka maar deta hoon (whenever I get an opportunity, I make full use of it)."

To the reporter, he replied, “Captain ne sab kuch bata diya hai, captain acha ho toh team khoob khelti hai (If the captain is good, team also plays well). Karan kehta hai 5 saal baad aaya hoon, lekin ab aaya hai toh apne Johar dikha ke jayega. Maine jab pehle kahani suni… Maine buri kahaniyon mein bhi kaam kiya hai, kabhi paise ke liye, kabhi kisi ko help karne ke liye, magar jis din yeh kahani suni maine, mujhe laga yeh ghar ghar ki kahani hai (Karan I’ve worked in a lot of bad films, sometimes for money, sometimes to help others, but when I heard this story, I knew it is a story of every family).”

Karan Johar had earlier spoken about the kissing scene in his conversation with Film Companion. He said it was not hard to convince either of the veteran actors for the scene.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ has collected Rs 73 crore at the domestic box office in its first week.
