New Delhi: There are singers, there are legends and then there is Kishore Kumar. No other singer is celebrated or loved across the generations like him, his songs are knitted in our lives and have become an inseparable part of it. His voice strikes your heart and echoes in your head long after listening to it.

Kishore Da was an eccentric genius, a man who hated every bit of acting, did everything to irk the makers but still aced every frame in every romantic comedy he was part of. It’s a known fact that he was not a trained singer but still made songs like ‘Mere Naina Sawan Bhado’ his own and made it memorable (Of course with the help of Legendary Lata Mangeshkar as he listened to her version before recording his own.)

Imagine a game of antakshri without ‘Mere Sapno Ki Rani’ or ‘Roop Tera Mastana’, your love story without a pinch of Kishore Da in it, or contemplating about the time gone in your life without ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Mein’. For his die-hard fans, Kishore Kumar is music, music is Kishore Kumar. There are hundreds of popular beautiful songs by the singer that are part of the playlists of many music lovers. Among the library of his soulful songs, there are many tracks that deserved more. Songs that were melodious, beautiful, and heart-touching but still didn’t achieve the glory that they should have.
