Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Friday (March 19). The ‘Sholay’ star took to social media to inform the fans that he has been vaccinated. He requested his followers to follow the social distancing norms and wear face masks to keep COVID-19 at bay.
Dharmendra is the latest tinsel town celebrity to get vaccinated as part of the vaccination drive to combat the pandemic. He stressed on the importance of social distancing and asked his fans to get vaccinated.
The ‘Apne’ star thanked the female doctor at the hospital and blessed her. He posted a video on Twitter along with the caption, “Tweet karte karte.... josh aa gaya ...aur main nikal gaya....vaccination lene .... it’s definitely not a show off...but to inspire you all..... Friends, please take care.”
Dharmendra said that he shared the clip to inspire others to take the jab of the COVID-19 vaccine. Check out his post!
Earlier in the day, the 'Chupke Chupke' star shared a post to urge his fans to wear a face mask as a precautionary measure against the deadly virus. He tweeted, "Mask laga kar baith..... tere tarboz koi nahin kharede ga.......lock down ko lock karna hai ..... to do gaz ki doori aur mask zarori."
On the professional front, Dharmendra will be next seen in ‘Apne 2’. The film will also star his grandson Karan Deol along with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
Bollywood Celebs Who Got Vaccinated
The likes of Hema Malini, Paresh Rawal, Rakesh Roshan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Kamal Haasan, Johnny Lever, Satish and Gajrao Rao have received a dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier this month, Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini took the COVID-19 vaccine at Mumbai’s Cooper hospital. She posted pictures along with the caption, “I have taken the Covid vaccine along with the public at Cooper Hospital.”
Many tinsel town celebs including Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Satish Kaushik, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Manoj Bajyapee have tested positive for Coronavirus. Earlier this week, Tara Sutaria informed her fans that she has tested negative for the virus.
