Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone won several hearts with their performance in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’. The comedy drama co-starring Irrfan Khan managed to set the cash registers jingling. The two tinsel town celebs were also seen playing the role of a father and daughter in ‘Aarakshan’. If a recent report in SpotboyE is to be believed, Big B and Deepika might work again in a project. Yes, you read that right!


According to a report in the entertainment portal, Amitabh is expected to join Deepika in the remake of ‘The Intern’. The ‘Deewar’ star will step into late Rishi Kapoor’s shoes for the remake of the upcoming film.

The makers of the flick are yet to make an official announcement about the same. A source close to the ‘Paa’ actor told the portal that two sides are in talks regarding the project.


Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Chehre’. The mystery thriller co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty and Krystle D’Souza is slated to hit the silver screens on April 9, 2021. The official trailer of the film was released on March 18.


Talking about ‘The Intern’, the film starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in lead roles. The buddy comedy-drama focused on the story of a 70-year-old widower, who became an intern at a leading fashion portal. The film showcased his bond with the company’s CEO Jules Ostin (played by Anne Hathway).

Rishi Kapoor was initially supposed to portray the character originally played by Robert in ‘The Intern’. The veteran actor passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 67.


Rishi had shared a post on Twitter to inform the fans about the film. He tweeted, “Moving on to yet another journey with the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern with @deepikapadukone.”
