New Delhi: Deepika Padukone's popular song 'Deewani Mastani', which is taken from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's award-winning film 'Bajirao Mastani', got featured on The Academy's official Instagram page. Actor Ranveer Singh, who is married to Deepika Padukone, commented on The Academy's post, describing it as "mesmeric". The post was also shared by Deepika on her Instagram stories.

Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh played lead roles in the period drama, 'Bajirao Mastani'. 'Deewani Mastani', sung by Shreya Ghoshal, is an iconic track from the critically acclaimed film directed by Bhansali.


Sharing the video, The Academy wrote, "Deepika Padukone performing "Deewani Mastani" (sung by Shreya Ghoshal) from the movie 'Bajirao Mastani.' Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas."






Ranveer, Deepika's husband who portrayed Peshwa Bajirao in the film, reacted to the post right away.

Deepika Padukone presented at the Oscars last year. At the 95th Academy Awards, she introduced 'Naatu Naatu', the Oscar-winning song from 'RRR'. The Telugu song Naatu Naatu, written by MM Keeravani, made history by being the first to be performed, nominated, and win an Oscar.


While introducing the song, Deepika said, “An irresistibly catchy chorus, electrifying beats and killer dance moves to match have made this next song a global sensation. It plays during a pivotal scene in RRR, a movie about the friendship between real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem."


On the personal front, Deepika and Ranveer are going to have their first child this year. The couple announced their pregnancy a few weeks ago, saying that the baby is expected in September.
