Mumbai: A Mumbai court on Thursday (October 7) sent Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, Munumun Dhamecha, Arbaz Seth Merchant and six others to judicial custody for 14 days in connection in drugs seizure case. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar has transferred the alleged rave party case for further hearing to a Special NDPS Court.


Aryan Khan Sent To Judicial Custody


After hearing the arguments between the NCB lawyers and advocates of the accused, the court rejected NCB's plea seeking further custody of Khan and others in relation with the Mumbai rave party case.

"No custodial interrogation is required as sufficient time and opportunity was granted to NCB for investigation. Hence, they are remanded to judicial custody," Nerlikar said as quoted as saying by Bar and Bench. 



Aryan Khan's Lawyer To File Bail Petition Tomorrow 


According to ANI, Satish Maneshinde will file a bail petition on behalf of his client before the court on Friday (October 8). The NCB took Aryan to its Mumbai office after presenting him before the Magistrate court, which sent him to a 14-day judicial custody.  




The Magistrate court said that it hear the bail plea of Khan at 11am on Friday. It also asked the Narcotics Control Bureau to file a reply by then, as per ANI.

The accused in the alleged cruise ship case will be kept in NCB custody in judicial custody till Friday as jail won't accept new inmates at this time.

 


 


Why NCB Arrested Aryan Khan?




The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Aryan, Munmun, Arbaz and five others after conducting a raid at a Mumbai-Goa cruise on October 2. They were booked on charges of consumption, sale, and purchase of banned drugs.


Earlier this week, Mumbai court had extended Khan, Dhamecha, Merchant's NCB custody till October 7, rejecting their bail plea in connection with the case.
