New Delhi: The novel Coronavirus outbreak has has wreaked havoc in many countries all over the world including India. 'Baby Doll' singer Kanika Kapoor became the first Bollywood celebrity who tested positive for Coronavirus. Kanika then got admitted in Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow. Kanika Kapoor, who tested positive for Coronavirus after returning to India from London, yesterday (April 5) tested negative in her sixth test and here comes good news for her fans.


Singer Kanika Kapoor has been discharged from hospital. Yes, you read that right! She got discharged from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) today (April 5) after her latest report tested negative. However, doctors have advised Kanika to stay at home for the next 14 days in self-quarantine.

The singer is yet to react on the same.

Kanika's troubles, however, are likely to increase now. Three FIRs have been filed against Kanika on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home.

She has been booked under Sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station in the city. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the chief medical officer (CMO) of Lucknow.

After testing positive for Coronavirus, she was slammed for attending social gatherings in Lucknow. She was admitted to hospital on March 20 and her five consecutive reports showed her as Coronavirus positive leaving her family members tensed. However, the latest update is indeed a happy news for her family.
