New Delhi: Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’,  slated to hit the silver screens on March 20, has been postponed due to Coronavirus outbreak. Yash Raj Films issued an official statement on Saturday (March 14) and announced that the black comedy drama will not release next week. The makers are yet to reveal the new release date of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’.

“Given the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country, we have decided to postpone the release of Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The health and safety of everyone is of utmost importance at this time,” the statement read.



‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ is the latest flick to join the every-growing list of the movies that are being delayed due to the deadly Coronvairus scare.

Release of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘A Quiet Place 2’ and ‘No Time to Die’, have been postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ has been directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The trailer was unveiled earlier this month. The film also stars Archana Puran Singh, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles.

The movie focuses on the story of a Haryanavi Police Officer named Pinky and a corporate executive, Sandeep, who are caught in a tight spot while they are absconding. Parineeti and Arjun play the respective roles of Sandeep and Pinky in the flick.
