Keeping the current pandemic situation in mind and its adverse effects on the daily wage workers, Telugu superstar Mahesh babu has decided to donate Rs. 25 lakhs for TFI workers. The 'Aagadu' actor took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that he has contributed Rs 25 lakh towards Corona crisis society. He also urged his fellow actors to join in for the cause.
"The lockdown situation adversely impacts the lives of daily wage cine workers. Will be contributing Rs. 25 lakhs towards Corona crisis charity for TFI workers. Requesting all fellow actors to come forward and make their contributions in these testing times #StayHomeStaySafe," Mahesh Babu wrote.
Mahesh Babu had earlier announced a donation of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's relief fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
"Let's battle the COVID-19 as a nation! I urge everyone to follow the rules put forth by our Government. My deepest gratitude for all your efforts @PMOIndia @TelanganaCMO @KTRTRS @AndhraPradeshCM @ysjagan Humanity will rise and we will win this war! #StayHomeStaySafe ," the actor's tweet read.
